As a company, we’re in full support of work experience for senior school students, and it’s with absolute pleasure that we welcomed Liam from The Howard School Kent to The Intelligent Workspaces Partnership this week. 🙌 Liam, who is currently in YR10, arrived with us on Monday morning full of enthusiasm and with a keen incentive to learn about every aspect of our business.

He came in fully prepped, having spent the previous weekend reading up on our myriad of services, platforms and solutions. We were all so impressed with the knowledge he’d managed to absorb! Lex Parkinson, Juliet Kidney, Jasmine Barnard and Max Burfield spent a few super days with Liam in our Marketing Department. With an already solid understanding of Adobe, Liam was keen to build on this and did so with aplomb, eager to know more about the intricacies and different aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud. Lex took him through some features within Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, with Liam keen to learn how they integrate. They also explored some basic typography points and touched on differences with colour spaces across print and web/screen. There was even time for Liam to dip his toe into the mastery of After Effects! 👏

Liam gained valuable information about branding and design and came up with some splendid creations of his own. 💭 The rest of the week, Liam spent time with Rob Smith and out and about with Scot Gibson, Maura Vinall and Lex on-site, gaining invaluable experience of our bespoke technology designs’ effectiveness in a real-life environment. Quick to learn and understand, Liam showed intelligence and eagerness to learn more about tech integration and how our platforms benefit our clients. We are all in complete agreement that Liam is a polite, bright and enthusiastic young chap, keen to apply himself to a wide range of tasks; the world is his oyster, and we have a sneaky feeling that he’s going to be a massive success in life, whichever career path he decides to pursue.

We wish Liam all the luck with the rest of his school life and rather hope that he chooses the proptech industry so that we can welcome him back to IWP in the not-too-distant future! It’s been An amazing week of work experience with Liam and he would be a true asset to us; we have no doubt.
