The challenges of running a relatively young business such as the IWP Group often result in clashes of strategy when trying to balance innovation and agility alongside processes and disciplines.

We have a highly innovative team at IWP and we’re constantly pushing them to exceed the boundaries of what is possible with technology integrations.  This leaves our marketing and admin teams having to rewrite branding guidelines and processes on almost a daily basis. Ensuring our teams work collaboratively is essential and each team must have the respect of the others with no one team being more or less important than the other.

It is through this focus on an aligned objective that enables us to launch platforms like SensAI so successfully across multiple countries.

The combination of an arid desert climate and a real focus on sustainability means that businesses across the entire Gulf Cooperation Council region are adopting SensAI as a core element of their efficiency and sustainability vision; “We pledge to implement global best practices related to sustainability by adopting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals which provide the foundation for our 2030 sustainability targets and action plans.”

Our experience in the region shows very clearly that these are not mere words; they are a genuine objective and there is an eagerness to move at pace towards innovative technology that has a demonstrable and significant outcome. Our SensAI platform is a powerhouse of energy management, sustainability and automation; the first platform to truly deliver AI with IoT technology that identifies and eliminates energy wastage by controlling systems such as HVAC and lighting.

Internally, our teams in both Dubai and the UK continue to grow each month as does our need for specialist skills and expertise across multiple technologies. We’ll shortly be opening new vacancies for a Network Architect and a BDM for our ProxScan product.

We’ve also been investing heavily in our HR program as we strive to keep improving our employee welfare plans. As well as providing best-in-class healthcare for our people, this benefit has now been extended to their partners and children too.

Many of you have noticed our new Team section on the IWP Group website; this was a fun-filled day in the middle of Shoreditch where we almost managed to get the whole UK team assembled in one place; it definitely reminded us of the need to get all sides of the company together more often. It’s inevitable that certain teams like admin and engineering do not get to meet face to face very often, so this photoshoot will definitely serve as the catalyst for an event late-Summer.

In terms of business, we have seen a number of successful project completions in the UK and beyond, with a huge amount of activity in both the flexible office and media sectors as firms reassess their AV, managed Wi-Fi and managed print needs whilst opening more new sites.

These coming months will see the engineering teams heading out to Sydney, Singapore, California, Istanbul, Barcelona and Stockholm, whereas a few of the Executive Team will be travelling to the Middle East to help finalise some hugely exciting opportunities created by our fantastic team in Dubai.

All in all, August and September promise to be record months for the group and we never forget that we owe our continued success to our incredible staff and our amazing clients who support our insatiable appetite for innovation and collaboration.
